Parlor Songs in search of popular American Song

Coming eventually, Parlorsongs.org Members Only Area

We know that many of you are committed to the preservation of our musical heritage as we are. We also believe that you would like to support our efforts to continue to bring you the best on line e-zine about early American music.

We want to establish a Members only area that will allow you access to features that we believe will be well worth the small annual fee we propose. Not only will you be able to know that your donation will help fund our continuing efforts but we also will offer the following new features, only for members:

  • Free, unlimited downloads of PDF copies of featured scores published each month. You will be able to print professionally notated exact duplicates of these historic scores so that you can play them yourself at any time. (That could amount to as many as 120 scores per year!) Each Most scores include a scan of the original cover in full color (where color was used) thus allowing you to enjoy a reproduction of the original. With a quality printer and photo quality paper, you can get framable quality prints for most covers.
  • Here are a few samples from some recent issues, to download them to your hard drive, with MSIE, click on the icon or link using your RIGHT mouse button and select "save target as". With Netscape, Right click and select "Save Link As".

The PDF images may look odd with the Acrobat Reader however they should print perfectly.

You will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader ver. 4.0 or better, you can obtain the reader from Adobe by clicking on this image .

  • Discounts on framed prints (10 - 25 % off) and other ParlorStore merchandise.
  • A free ParlorSongs screen saver (PC version only)

All this for a reasonable membership fee per year! We plan on implementing this service as soon as we have established our not for profit status. Your donations will be tax deductible!

If you are interested in being a Charter member of Parlorsongs.org, or if you have suggestions for added services you would like to see. let us know by sending an e-mail to rick@parlorsongs.net. We will hold all requests until the service is ready and contact you at that time.

In the meanwhile, if you have the inclination to help us build our organization and care to make a donation now, we would be very grateful and for any donation of $100 or more, we will give you immediate access to the PDF files. There are already 658 scores available as of September, 2006 and more are added each month. Funds donated will be used to aquire additional music, equipment (we desperately need a large format scanner, printer as well as other equipment) and to help pay for our non-profit filing fees, server space, bandwidth use, etc.

If you choose to make a donation now, we thank you very much.
